Quad core processor for PVC?

#1

Post by drepouille »

I will be hosting a multi-stake PVC next week. There will probably be three remote sites plus myself. I ran a PVC test last night with just one remote site using my Dell Studio 1737 dual-core laptop, and it was flawless. Should I be concerned that my dual-core laptop will not be able to handle a four-way PVC?
My stake president has said I could buy a quad-core laptop for the stake if I thought it was needed.

Remote locations connect to a PVC (Vidyo mobile) server(s), and they do not used resources or bandwidth of your local device

We have had over twenty (20) remote locations as part of a session

At the originating site we had a LENOVO ThinkPad T420 Laptop with Win 7, i5, dual core processor and 4GB memory

Note: once upon a time, the maximum number of connections to a session was twenty (20) connections
