With the different updates over the years and my wife and I sharing an account etc... etc... I want to wipe all notes, bookmarks, and annotations clean and start afresh... I can only see a way to do these one at a time while I literally have hundreds looking for an easier way

The fastest way I can come up with in Gospel Library for iOS is going to Notes > Recent, then clicking "Edit", then you can tap the minus button, then Delete. Minus, delete, minus, delete, etc. for each annotation. It seems a little bit faster if you tap the collapse button in the top left of the Recent screen, too.

Yeah that's what I've found as well but I'm fat fingered and it screws up every few ... and I'm too impatient to do it hundreds of times .... was hoping for a better way

Actually, you don't even have to press edit and the minus button – you can just swipe each note to the left, then press delete.
