iPad won't download scriptures, hymns, etc.

my iPad is in Arabic, and for some reason gospel library won't download English scripture, hymns, or talks (although my phone, which is in Arabic also, has no trouble downloading these things. The app works just fine and loads content when my iPad is in English... will I just be unable to have my iPad in Arabic / use the app if I do?
