German bible

#1

Post by sbradshaw »

Hi! There's a third party developer who made a way to side-load a public-domain version of the German Bible into Gospel Library. I'm looking for contact info for that developer or a website – are there any German speakers who know where I might look (maybe Google would return some results if I knew what German words to search :) )?

Inside the attachment that one imports into Gospel Library is this content:

Code: Select all

{
    "name": "hlschrift",
    "url": "http://www.fauth-family.de/hlschrift/"
}
Apparently, the Fauth family website hosts the content, so maybe they created it, or know who did. Their website also has contact info, so you can try that.

Hope that helps!

With the latest update, the extension of the old and new testament bible in german is no longer compatable. Is there a way i can get them back or for you to release a new updated copy that is compatable for the latest update on the gospel library app?

@harrisongregorymayer
As far as I know, there would actually be a copyright issue in reproducing the "german bible". It is technically copyrighted and as far as I know, those rights are owned by another church - catholic church?

I live in Germany and I find it utterly frustrating, not to be able to hop over to "Die Bibel" and follow along in the "Neues Testament", when in church.

If I find an updated version, I will let you know. Please do the same!
