Gospel Library 4.2.0 for Android released

Post by sbradshaw »

Gospel Library 4.2.0 for Android has been released. Here are the release notes:

* New text selection menu
* Added "Define" to the menu
* Improved display of long title names (titles will shrink to fit in the titlebar, up to a certain point)
* Remember which tab was visited most recently under Notes
* Improve how notes are displayed from search results
* Android O support (adaptive icon, notification channels, etc.)
* Added changing audio speed in Android 4.1+ (previously it was Android 6+)
* Provided string translations in 25 languages
* Fixed issues with creating unintentional highlights when scrolling content
* Fixed bug where choosing a new highlight color didn't always save

Because of several underlying code changes and dependencies, Gospel Library 4.2 is the last release that will run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and Android 4.1 (early Jelly Bean). Although the app won't be updated on these older devices, content will continue to flow, as it does for other users of Gospel Library 4, and Gospel Library 4.2 will still be visible on the Google Play store for these devices.
