I am beginning my reading of Jesus the Christ accessed through the Gospel Library. Is there any way I can adjust the text font size larger?

Yes, text size can be changed in Settings.

I had not yet noticed with the latest version of GL, but this particular book used to have a font size significantly larger than the normal font size of other GL documents. I notice now that it weighs in at the same font size setting that I am using for the rest of the Library items. That is a helpful improvement.

Yes, changing the text size is located in settings.... But when I get there I try to do different things and nothing changes the size. Spreading my fingers, double tapping what do I need to do to get it enlarged?

There's an orange slider that you can slide left to make the text smaller, or slide right to make the text bigger. If you can't see the slider, make sure your phone is rotated to portrait (sometimes landscape is too short for the text size box, so the slider gets cut off at the bottom).

Is that just for this book, or does it change the global setting?

It changes the global setting for font size of any book in Gospel Library.
