Spouse Listed at Other

In Household Records in the list of Household members, a spouse is sometimes listed as 'Other', not as 'Spouse'.

This typically happens with part member families, often where the husband is a non-member yet is listed as head of the household. In the list under his name his wife is listed as 'Other'.

I would appreciate your help.
