Rich Beyond Our Wildest Dreams

I went down to the Stake office today and noticed that we had received (via MLS) the "Unit Financial Statement" for 20 Oct - 31 Oct, and had also received the "Consolidated Financial Statement" for 20 Oct - 31 Oct. Our CUFS ending 19 Oct looked fine previously, but our new UFS for the rest of October shows the ending balance of our Ward Missionary Fund as $2,399,250,399 and our Budget as $4,057,501,512  We'll never have to work again!!!

I suggest your stake consider donating the excess to the recently formed "CUBS Induced PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Foundation".

My cure for the PTSD is to buy a tropical island in the South Pacific (with a full infastructure, of course), move the whole Stake family there, and live happily ever after :p

Technically, Brodine's stake is poor compared to ours. Although we only have 1.5 billion in our missonary fund our overall budget balance is 6.1 billion. I talked it over with the Stake President and we plan on petitioning for one temple for each ward and branch in our stake - we're picking up the tab!

Now if I can just convince the Stake President to sign the second page. He said he was going to have to contemplate that till Thursday when we meet again.

And who said CUB's wasn't great! :D

I just wanted to give a shout out to those on here as well as the emails we got that alerted Local Unit Support to the problem. Thank you for the early heads up. Fortunately we had an employee working on Saturday to catch up with the flood of CUBS emails and Finance is working to resolve the issue and pull the incorrect statements before more units get a chance to rejoice in their new found riches.

Gee - I feel poor. My home ward (Warner Robins 2nd Ward - unit 0159492) only had $353 million in ward missionary, but Budget showed -$18 million. I asked the Bishop what kind of Halloween (politically correct - Fall festival) party he had.

Looks like there are still issues to resolve at CHQ.

Don't cancel flying MoTab out for your Christmas Social yet. My guess is they haven't thought about stopping the interest payments on your Ward Missionary Account. Daily interest on a $billion in the Ward Missionary account for a few days could still fund a pretty nice Christmas party.

Wow chartman, that didn't even cross my mind. For those of us with a billion+ in our Ward Missionary Account, that's got to be at least $30K a day just in interest!!!
