Beta-Maps vs MLS mismatch
For over a week now, I've had a new household listed in the beta-maps directory that has never 'moved-in' in MLS. We typically have 4-5 new households move in per week, and this is the first case I've noticed where they showed up in beta-maps but not in MLS. (I've already used 'feedback' in beta-maps to report this.) Is this a common/known problem?

I realize it is a beta site. My experience has been that MLS move in/out requests DO get processed in beta-maps in a timely manner. I've been routinely seeing move-ins show up in beta-maps before I get to the church to receive them in MLS, so it IS working most of the time. It just seems that there is at least one case where a person 'moved-in' in MAPS but not in MLS.

Currently clerks can verify the locations on the beta maps. You must have a standard position of clerk in MLS. The other standard positions that can edit or verify locations are bishop, first counselor, second counselor, assistant clerk, assistant clerk (finance), assistant clerk (membership).

Australian addresses not mapping correctly
I tried to send feedback via the link of the beta-maps site, but there were no text fields on the form (which could be an issue in itself).
I've noticed that my address, and those of my entire ward (in Tasmania, Australia), are either showing as unverified or in locations in the US. The ward boundary and meetinghouse details are fine though... Does anyone out there know if this is a known issue?
Thanks,
Lionel

I can't remember which web browser it was, but I had to use a different one to send feedback on the beta maps site. It seemed like I had a similar website rendering issue to yours.lionelwalters wrote:I tried to send feedback via the link of the beta-maps site, but there were no text fields on the form (which could be an issue in itself).

Initially all addresses are "unverified", because no one in your ward has verified them. One of the people with the listed callings has to go through each one and verify them. Do the addresses not in the US seem to be in the right place? When I verified the addresses for my ward, most of them seemed to be in the approximately the right place.lionelwalters wrote:I've noticed that my address, and those of my entire ward (in Tasmania, Australia), are either showing as unverified or in locations in the US. Can you provide a list of the positions that have this access?homedat wrote:The executive secretary has been added to the list of those who can verify or update member locations with LDS Maps.
