See Church History through old Life Magazine photos

Google has indexed and made available the Life Magazine photo archive, which includes many previously unpublished photos.

There are a number of interesting shots of church leaders meeting with different people:

Lee,

Thanks for the post. Those who review it should take note, however, that a few of the photos are of leaders of splinter groups of the Church.

Interesting to see what Life called "Mormon"

Life magazine called the RLDS leader Wallace Smith a Mormon, and also the Short Creek fundamentalist group "Mormon", and that was only 50 years ago. At least now I have more understanding of why my school associates really thought I might have more than one wife with news reporting like this! Thank goodness for newsroom.lds.org to clarify who we truly are.

Thanks for posting.
