Thought I had better return and report. I read the CHI references and see where the concern lies, especially with respect to 18-20 year-olds. I think I also overstated what my Stake expects. The guidance they give is that for YSAs, there are three options: stay in the family ward, go to the YSA Bran...

As a follow-up, I have checked a couple other units (still not all, however) and those units did not receive the error. So from what I have observed, the only units that received this error are the ones that meet in the afternoon and were therefore affected by the MLS server outage . I don't know i...

Can you please give me a reference? I would like to know if we are doing it wrong.

Having said that as a proviso, I'd think that if we don't move away the records of missionaries in the field nor ungroup them as single head of households when serving in some mission overseas, then we probably shouldn't ungroup a family because a 21 or 25 year old is away for a semester studying. ...

Our stake's policy is to pull the records of all youth to the YSA when they graduate from high school. Most of them will be made head of household in May or June and moved unless there is some factor that makes that unwise. It does get interesting when they graduate before their 18th birthday - ther...

I also adopted children when I married my spouse. I thought that since these children were already born in the covenant to their biological parents that they couldn't appear on my record as well. We've had additional children and my spouse and I have worked very hard to be a unified family. But I'v...

I adopted children when they were young children, but not babies. Their biological parents were sealed in the temple. I've legally adopted them but I would like their deceased parent to recognized as well as me. Otherwise I can see your point. Thank you for your reply. My kids were also older (6 an...

For those of you who use some of the "pay" services, do you find that the information is reasonably current? I have about 30 members that I know have moved and would like to find a good address for them. I just don't want to pay a fee for junk info. I was using Integrascan that was working okay in t...

Our branch sends text reminders to those who want them. The list is maintained by the Activities chair and is definitely an "opt-in". I guess I have some reservations about including it as a feature in MLS. There is potential for abuse by lazy clerks who automatically check the approval, and if the ...
