Re: Stake clerk limitations with membership records

This is a limitation. I have found that I often train our stake clerk as much as he trains me, primarily for this exact reason. In the rare cases where the stake has brought ward clerks together to discuss challenges and share ideas it seems to have been very useful. I have found that there are area...

Re: LCR - Send message function - texting

I was added to a Remind list without my permission by a Stake leader organizing a choir for a special function. I don't recall any information provided as to how I could remove myself from the reminders or manage how often I received them (though that was a couple of years ago). I did not want to be...

Re: Moving a record when don't know destination

As an option we have had some success with: if the parents are members of the church, you can see what ward they are in from the child's record (click on the member's "Family" tab and click on the unit number listed next to their parents names (if they are both in the same ward/branch, you...

Re: mobile phone number

As a ward clerk, I recommend you ask your clerk for a copy of your individual ordinance summary (IOS). You can check everything over and make manual notes on what needs to be corrected and give it back to him to make the corrections. I believe you can change your individual phone number yourself by ...

Re: Installing unsigned drivers

We have found that most of our members would prefer to send their receipts electronically via email (many businesses will provide them that way so no scanning is needed). The few that come in paper copy are currently being entered as we were before with the paper copies filed in the financial record...

Re: Newly wed couple living with parents

My recommendation is, don't get wrapped around the axle - just go to your clerk or assistant clerk-membership and ask them to split you into your own household with your wife. Then ask him to print you the Individual Ordinance Summaries (IOS) for your family so you can check everything to make sure ...

Re: Payment Timing for ACH Expense Reimbursement

If the bishop is not the 2nd approver, the ACH deposit still happens after the 2nd approval as eblodd66 noted. In that case, the bishop still must approve the expense, but 2 approvers release it to pay without the bishop's final approval. This is the same as when we printed paper checks - they could...

RS secretary here - how do I do the browser cache/cookies thing mentioned above? I am having the same difficulty as dcpierce9000. Hopefully an external link is allowed, but here is an article with instructions on how to clear the cookies and cache on many different browsers: https://www.pcmag.com/a...

Re: Pay tithing online

What did you do. I go from page to page and never find my donation slip. I don't like it. This link should take you to a sign-in page and then the donations page where the tithing slip is located: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/donations/#/donation/step1 You must have your correct membership n...
