It's always best to have the local leader decide, but when the time comes to move the records and you can't find an address, there is an option that you can select in MLS to say 'no' when it asks for a forwarding address. These records will be sent to a holding file in Salt Lake to await information.

Out of unit record updates have to be done in the ward where the member resides. If the individual is deceased, then the update can be made by Clerk Support.

As crislapi said, the updates should be almost immediate when not done on a Sunday. As we all know, Sundays are "peak" processing times for the servers and the updates are going to take longer. Are there any pitfalls with requesting a refresh of a unit's data? If you request the refresh at the stake level, then you don't risk breaking any households' information. As of today, the backlog of files for last week had been processed and Sunday's updates were starting to be processed. The changes should come through soon.
