Re: Ruko and old tv

Found a Roku model that will work with the older TV and it's also their least expensive. And it will also work with the new TVs as well once the old one dies.

From their site:

That all works and will work, thanks. Hadn't thought of some of it but knew the other stuff.

Re: LCR 3.0: Full-time missionary callings

I thought that was so, but in the sacrament meeting it only states who is in the leaderships involved at the time--they are not sustained in the sacrament meeting, and that main form should suffice for the annual history, but a sustaining form for in the meetings would indeed be helpful.

Re: LCR 3.0: Full-time missionary callings

If they are including the full time missionaries that are serving FROM a ward/branch, then it would be just as easy to auto-fill that in the Officers Sustained form. After all, this information is exported to the ward directory function on lds.org already. There's another possibility too. When a war...

Re: Mormon Channel on Samsung/LG Smart TV's?

KBYU is an older, over the air station in Salt Lake, it's a PBS affiliate, so it's not likely to go to a national platform like smart device apps or TV platforms outside Utah. BYUtv however, is another matter, it was designed from the beginning to be national and even worldwide (they do swap out som...

Re: Martrydom of Stephen Bible Video

This one has been around for a year, and they are very meticulous about the releases and other copyright-related issues. It is possible that they however had to do a very minor re-edit, they have put things up only to find a small snafu then had to re-post it, and as a result the URL may end up bein...

Re: LDS Youth Spotify

Probably not likely, Spotify does not have much in the way of LDS music anyway, and there are several reasons for that. One is that some musicians feel that Spotify 'doesn't pay its share' of royalties to musicians for playing their music, and at least one major LDS musician, despite the obvious mis...

Re: Chrome Cast

Gospel Library is not one that would port over easily at present to Chromecast. Primarily because Chromecast is a video and audio delivery platform, much like Roku. Roku and Chromecast are the top two in the video 'over the top' box battle, and Chromecast may well overtake Roku, even with less indiv...

Re: Callings by Organization missing Sunbeams

Didn't see the issue myself, but I do see something that could be worth looking at. However, I also believe that the explanation of how the LCR and CMIS talk to each other is the best explanation. But since those that work with programming a site or maintaining the code on one often say they 'test a...
