In our broadcasts, we also have a lighting issue. However, I'm not too worried about the choir area being darker. Instead, I have a problem with the two spotlights from above being at such an angle that there are a lot of vertical shadows on the face (under eyes/nose). I like the spotlights, as they...

One thing you can use is teamviewer. Sorry to disappoint, but Brian specifically called out Teamviewer in the recent webcast (June 1). He said they told him that we could absolutely not use it as a Church under the "free" license. However, he didn't mention LogMeIn (sounded like he might have conta...

We recently invested in a similar hardware setup for each of the buildings within our stake. It consists of a 32 inch TV on a cart; Logitech WebCam that sits on top of the TV, but can also be mounted on a tripod for webcast; a laptop; and Chat 150 speakerphone. One of the laptops has very basic spe...

My stake plans to use PVC for an upcoming stake conference. We'll have Meetinghouse Webcast ready to go for backup. We were frustrated by the A/V sync problems with Meetinghouse Webcast, and feel that PVC will also be more forgiving of internet speed fluctuations. Our upload speed is ~550-750. I ju...

I had the same issue last year. We installed Windows 7 using the license key found on the computer. You can use any Win7 Pro installation media, or you can make your own universal installation media, as I mentioned in a post here . I know it's a bit of a headache to install a new OS on top of everyt...

wow, I'm excited about this! Here are some changes I notice: ⋅ On Mac OS, video options include the advanced section, offering 450p30, 720p15, and 720p30. None of these were available before on Mac (but they were on Windows). ⋅ Options tab has options to always display toolbar an...

We bought a Rolls PhonePatch II
I just wanted to confirm this was for sending audio over the phone line, and not receiving it? Did you have any problems with distortion using this device (its instructions caution against using a hotter-than-line input).

For what it's worth, the temples I've visited recently have used Lenovo Tablet PC's, albeit in laptop mode.

The current communicator boxes in the Ward House provide a WMV file which the Roku does not support. We have created and tested the ability to enter a URL into the Roku Box with success but you must have the appropriate HLS h.264 video format. Will this be an option in the future? (any timeline?) I...
