Alternatives to Brightcove Flash Player on computer

I've become frustrated with the Brightcove media player and its overhead on my computer. Previously, I max out my CPU on my Macbook using it, and if I switch over to an iOS/HTML5 link, I have minimal CPU usage. I remember being able to disable Flash or change browser user agent and have the default ...

Re: Board Search Codes

Can this made available to an anonymous user? I only see it when I log in, but I like to do a quick of the site without needing to log in.

My stake presidency was very supportive of purchasing a laptop. They didn't mention anything about a laptop, and it was bought with stake administrative funds. It's worked out very well for us.

As with many things, I think the stake president holds the key here (literally).

Honestly, I don't remember, and I won't be able to look it up for a week or so. The real solution for my stake was PVC. :) We're going to use it for a two-way training and two-way conference session this weekend. We plan to have prayers and talks from a place two hours away...it's a great blessing t...

I can't use multiple PVC sessions at the stake center because we don't really have the bandwidth to support it. I shut off the wireless so I can use every "bit" of our ~700k upload speed. I wish we had faster service! I know audio doesn't take much bandwidth, but I don't want to turn on the wireless...

Multiple broadcast methods for breakout sessions

I'm helping organize the broadcast of a training meeting that will have breakout sessions for multiple groups of people (e.g., clerks, youth leaders, missionary leaders). There are four meetings going on, with attendees at both the local and remote site. The largest meeting will use the normal PVC b...

Thanks, you're right...distribution amp. Yes, always make sure FM is on board. I did this with the regional FM's and stake president's blessing. He even opened the cabinet for me. I described to him the exact modifications I make: inputting the camera video feed to replace the main output of the vid...

Okay, one quick question. Does anyone know how to access the building system audio from within the satellite cabinet? For webcasts that have the library as the production room, where do you access audio in for the communicator? In my stake center, we have a VCR that is in the A/V cabinet in the mat...

Does anybody have experience with the USB 3.0 option from Blackmagic (Intensity Shuttle)?
If I upgraded from Roxio, I think I would prefer an option that wasn't tied to a single, desktop computer.

Thanks, Kurt for the cart type. I looked at them, and they sure seem nice. The price might put those ones out of our budget. I like the idea of a LCD specific one, as opposed to the generic media cart that Lionel showed. I'm going to try to find something in between, cost-wise. Thanks, Lionel, for t...
