Re: Need video solution for pianist to see chorister

Search AMAZON for "wireless car camera". There are lots of analog camera options for <$50 with no transmission delay.

Re: HD Video Distribution in New Meetinghouses

We also considered re-terminating everything to BNC, but didn't for the same reasons you mentioned. We limited our use of HD-SDI over coax to just the chapel projector/monitors. We did not try to run HD-SDI to perimeter rooms & gym because there wasn't enough improvement in picture quality (on 3...

Re: HD Video Distribution in New Meetinghouses

If you limit the SDI video to 1080i you should be able to go 150-300ft over the existing RG59/RG6 coax in the bldgs, and as far as 250-500ft using expensive coax made for SDI. With 1080P you must use good quality SDI coax for anything over about 50ft. We have been doing the same as you for several c...

Re: Camera to Projectors

We send 1080i HDMI over existing coax to projectors in all our bldgs by putting "HDMI to HD-SDI" and "HD-SDI to HDMI" converters on each each end of the coax. The converters cost $25-$35 dollars from Amazon or ebay. The attached PDF is an example what we did in one of our bldgs. ...

We heard the same audio glitches all through the Priesthood session. Fast, short, every few seconds.

Re: First World Problems

Maximum wifi throughput is limited when just one client (older) PC in a group of PCs is operating in a lower bandwidth "mode" like A, B, G. Cisco has a speed testing procedure https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/wireless-mobility-documents/wireless-throughput-testing-guide/ta-p/3143894 that...

Camera work at YSA Fireside

Just saw this picture FiresidePic.jpg showing the camera positions for the YSA Fireside at Taylorville Institute where Elder Ballard spoke on Sept 17, 2017. Three cameras - left, center, and right (hanging by the door) - just above the audience. It reminded me of our stake's first few experiences of...

Re: Vidiu Streaming or Wirecast???

Looking at the $$$ cost of a WireCast software based system versus a hardware based system is pretty easy. Wirecast Software based system $900 Wirecast Pro software (or $700 for Wirecast Studio and NO pgm output for TVs) $900 Quad HDMI input card (or $300 to $600 for Dual HDMI input card(s) ) $140 H...

Re: Vidiu Streaming or Wirecast???

There is one downside to WireCast. You cannot display realtime video to any TVs in the same bldg - the video will significantly lag the audio. This was one reason we opted to buy a Roland V-1HD Switcher (realtime video/audio switcher $900) and use the free VidiU encoder. Webcasting with ROLAND Video...
