Re: Lost check for last year's expenses; any way to not pull from this year's budget?

You might try calling the Global Service Center, but I think you will have to issue on this year's budget. That said, the amount allocated last year for the check was never consumed so once you void the check it should come back into your budget.

Re: Child (age 7) listed as head of his own household

One down, only HF knows how many more messed up records we have. I guess I'll find out. My first experience as clerk was membership clerk years ago (early MLS, dial-up, shared computer with 2 wards and a stake, dot-matrix printer with pin feed strips on the paper). The prior membership clerk litera...

In the online Donations FAQ, Question 16: "Q16. I have a question about one of my donations. Where do I go for help? A16. Most of your questions can be answered by looking at the Answers to General Questions section of the Help page or by speaking with your ward or branch clerk." If they c...

Re: Export LDS Tools contacts to Gmail?

If only the ward list exported into individuals for each row instead of households! I'm now going to have to deconstruct the spreadsheet a little to get spouses to have their own row with their own mobile number. As it is, it will appear as the 'couple name' with either the "family phone"...

Re: Ordination Report by Date

You may be able to do it through MLS (if the ordination dates are in the database) using a custom report. I don't have experience with Stake MLS, but Ward MLS has a pretty robust custom report editor that can do it if the data is there. MLS will allow you to export the report as a .csv file so you c...

Re: Child (age 7) listed as head of his own household

On LCR If you are looking at the father's "Family" tab, you are looking at his genealogical information which lists his children whether or not they currently reside at home. If you are looking at the father's "Household" tab, I suspect you will not see your grandson listed as a ...

Re: Deactivating subcategories

First, you must make sure the subcategories are empty. If there are any funds in them, you cannot deactivate them.

Not all categories can be deactivated, but any created by the ward/branch should be able to be deactivated.

Re: Printing Mailing Labels

You can print mailing labels using MLS. I don't know if that ability is available yet on LCR. I am not at the church computer at the moment so cannot give specific MLS instructions. We hand as many as possible out during our Sunday meetings and then only mail those we don't catch. Then we only have ...
