Re: New Directory and Youth

There is a saying, if you need something (a tool for work, for example) and don't buy it. You will pay for it anyway (lost productivity, defects, etc) without ever having it. The corollary in this case (at least in my simple mind) is: If the church doesn't want certain behavior but doesn't support t...

Re: Expiring Password

2. When I change my password each quarter, I must have 2 other members who have access to financial data sitting by me when I change my password so they can validate that I changed my password. - HUH??? Step 2 has me at a loss. I understand having an administrator assist or even another person or t...

Re: How to add new callings for a newly made quorum? Ex. EQ2 President.

I think you have to split the quorum first and then select the presidency from the members of the second quorum. Click on the pencil icon next to the Elder's Quorum title and you will see an option to split the quorum.

Re: Expiring Password

Personally, I am not against a reasonable password change policy. I understand the need to change it from time to time. I am retired military and know how they sometimes go overboard on passwords. However, this recent change has me scratching my head. According to the MLS message that came in this e...

Re: Lost My MLS Pass word

I wonder if we are talking about 2 different things: Changing a password and resetting a password. Several in our bishopric have changed their password recently - I have done it twice. No admin required (though I am one of our 2 admins with the Bishop). We have not attempted to reset a password. Ha...

Re: Why roll out a new system with no training

Here is where the discrepancy is because there is no formal spelled out process. I called SLC yesterday and asked the question "If I scan all documentation and attach electronically, do l have to still keep and file the paper copies for audit purposes and do I still need a request form to be f...

Re: lds.org donation / tithing payment

how or where do I add my checking account for the money to be taken out to pay the tithing? You must be in a country where online donations are set up (not all countries are currently set up). If you are, your best resource would be your local ward or branch clerk. For me (USA) I log in to churchof...

Re: Fundraiser Expenses

In the past, we have always covered the fundraiser costs from the proceeds of the fundraiser (the profit from the fundraiser is the total raised minus the costs to hold it). Then if there was not enough left for the camp, we cover that shortfall from the ward budget.

Re: Returned batches - Web Indexing

I thought I read somewhere that is (a), but I don't know that for a fact. Hopefully someone visiting the forum will know for sure as that is a question I have had as well. Keep in mind that "indexed incorrectly" is a subjective term. I have seen situations where correctly indexed records a...
