Re: LDSTech IDE 2.1 Beta Released!!!

Looks like on Mac OSX when eclipse prompts you to "restart" after upgrading it doesn't really "restart". You actually need to quit and then start again.

Re: ldstech webapp in non-lds-tomcat

Good job. :) The configuration of the tomcat server you will find in the "deploy" project of a stack starter project. For documentation on how the files in the deploy project get put into a tomcat server you can refer to this document. http://code.lds.org/maven-sites/stack/modules/tomcat-m...

Re: JdbcTemplate

JdbcTemplate is created in our "stack-db:data-source" namespace handler. Here are the schema docs that explain what the namespace handlers do and what beans are created by them. http://code.lds.org/maven-sites/stack/modules/db-spring/3.0.12/xsddoc/http___code.lds.org_schema_spring_db/index...

Re: Maven question about commons-dbcp

to answer your first question. Traditionally we've preferred setting up datasources in the server.xml file and then referencing them through jndi because it allows the ASEs more visibility and ability to change the applications connection to the database. As use of Tomcat has matured in the organiza...

Re: StackStarter.jar creates separate projects

Oh yeah. The trick is to do an eclipse Import->Maven->Import Existing Maven Project or something like that. That way eclipse will look for a pom.xml and use that to determine that it can import it.

Re: StackStarter.jar creates separate projects

Glad it is working. When you say:
I needed to create file to tell eclipse that these are actually separate projects

What do you mean?

Re: Non-ics account for Nexus proxy repository

Hi Paul, If I'm ready your message correctly you're executing an mvn install then deploy correct? So mvn install should work. However, deploy should not work. in mvn speak "deploy" means deploying your library into our nexus repository. This is usually only useful for projects that wish to...

Re: StackStarter.jar creates separate projects

I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to Paul. Stack Starter creates a Maven project that is multiple modules. A parent with several children. However in the lds-tech ide eclipse can only display projects in a flat structure. So when you import the root project into eclipse it will flatten the...
