Re: Technology Manager - Update Message

Not to mention, even, that the rack I was working with has another Ethernet hooked into the rack system, it appears. A second IP, plugged into Ethernet 2.

I agree the install doc, available at clerk support.lds.org, could use a little extra nuance.

Re: Information?

I'm not surprised. It'll get fixed, it's not critical to running the church in any way so in time it'll get done. It is just something that needs to be accepted by members.

Re: Access to ward and branch network equipment

I totally hear ya on this one. I was an STS in Missouri before moving to Utah, and because there is no economy of scale out there the STS was much more involved, out here in Utah my FM hires a contractor to do everything (we pay money[tithing money] to people rather than using the volunteer efforts ...

NEW BETA DIRECTORY - link broken

Hey Team, When I logged into the directory today I see an invitation to use the new 'beta' site for the directory and maps. However, the link is dead.... it links to https://www.lds.org/directory/null Not sure if the code went up too early or if the link is just a mistake, but I'd love to use the ne...

Re: Printable Ward Maps with Households

I don't know of anywhere that will just show a map with all members houses already on it, but you can go into google maps and create your own map, draw the outline of the boundary, and put pins at each address you wish. It is pretty easy to use, just will take some time and diligence to input all t...

Re: A plea for a dedicated streaming receiver

We use an HDMI over Coax unit (discussed in other threads) to get the HD video and audio to these other rooms. The key is that we use the audio from the webcast stream, not from the building sound system for these rooms and the delay of 400msec is not noticeable. Of course, the delay through the st...

Re: Local Unit Budget Allowance Increase Letter

I completely understand why you're looking for, it continually amazes me the suspension of all 'sense' when many leaders read the handbook. See's they'll say, it doesn't explicitly say that we can't do X or X. Even though the correct course of action is laid out clearly in the handbook, leaders will...

Re: A plea for a dedicated streaming receiver

You might be interested that the latest church release (beta) does have the ability to adjust the 'what you label as' Latency to a smaller number (adjustable) I can't guarantee it will be in the full production release but it was in the beta. I did help out with evaluating the new beta and finished ...
