Re: PTZ camera control using IP

Good question. That’s why I’m trying to reach out to the community here to find out their experience with using IP to control their PTZ cameras. I know IP can be used for supplying power to the cameras (POE). It’s also possible to do H.264 video over IP but at this point we’re planning to get video ...

PTZ camera control using IP

Does anyone have an existing webcast set up that does PTZ camera control using a local LAN (IP control) -- we're looking for feedback and information about how well this works or doesn't work. We're trying to decide between IP camera control vs. direct (RS-485) control. Not sure if we care about VIS...

Future plan?

Please give me a link if these questions are answered elsewhere -- I did some searching, but did not come across the answers. I've been following the beta development on the new unit calendaring and I had some questions -- 1. For their 2011 calendaring -- should units continue to use the current leg...

Webcast receivers

At our last webcast for stake conference we used some personal laptops at the receiving buildings and ran into an issue at one of the buildings where the laptop (company laptop) started it's weekly anti-virus scan at the same time the conference started and it brought the system to it's knees. The u...

Watch out -- I read a note this weekend saying that any phone numbers stored in the current "Secondary Phone Number" field will be lost when the upgrade to 3.1 happens. The note said to print out a copy of the information so that you don't lose it. It will be interesting to see the implementation an...

Am I allowed to jumble up the order of the rows (not columns) in the CSV file -- or does that also mess up WardMap?

Do you know if there is a way to tell Excel to preserve the original CSV format -- or maybe another editor to use -- the file is for the stake and has over 4000 members in it...ughh...

csv file format

I am a stake clerk and am trying to use the WardMap program -- I noticed that we had a large number of addresses that could not be mapped and this was mostly due to spelling errors, abbreviations, and missing information in the address fields in the membership.csv file. So in the short term I was op...
