Re: Webcast drops for a few minutes

Additional information:

We used Low quality video and Mobile quality audio, and the media server was mhw2-centralus2. For this morning's session we used the same video/audio quality and mhw2-centralus4; the receive rate dipped once to just above the target, but never dropped to zero.

Re: portal.ldswebcast.org is down right now

The portal website went down for me around 11:15 AM today (Central time). The broadcast seemed to continue to work, but if anyone refreshed the page or navigated away from it, it wouldn't reload until around 11:30.

Webcast drops for a few minutes

Ever since we switched to using portal.ldswebcast.org, we've seen an issue where the webcast will go down for a few minutes at the broadcast site. This has happened at least once in each of the last three conferences we've had. It occurred again tonight during our Saturday night session -- it went d...

Re: Face to Face technical difficulties

I was streaming using the Wi-fi. I would've needed to have a long Ethernet cable ready to run from the pulpit to the Clerk's Office (or ideally I should've planned to set that up from the beginning). If we have an Ethernet port closer to the pulpit I'm not aware of it. I did ask everyone to disconne...

Face to Face technical difficulties

My stake held an event where the youth gathered to watch the Face to Face broadcast with Elder Bednar. I was asked to set up the equipment and handle the broadcast. Unfortunately, the video froze up various times during the event, sometimes to where I had to refresh the page and force it to reconnec...

Firefox problems with Handbook 1 and 2?

Is anyone else seeing a problem with Handbook 1 and 2 in Firefox? I'm using Firefox 11.0 and when I click on section links (5.1 Member Missionary Work) the subsection links appear but the content does not. I use AdBlockPlus, NoScript, and Cookie Monster, but I've added the church sites, and I tried ...

Sending confidential information through email

On a related topic, has anyone had any privacy/confidentiality concerns about sending meeting notes over email? I've always been nervous about this considering some of the topics we discuss.

(Mods feel free to split this if you think it should be a separate topic.)

Version 2.0.2 released -- thanks!

I just got the update to version 2.0.2 from Market, and I just wanted to thank the developers profusely for the performance improvements. My main gripe about the previous version, navigating through the menus, is much better! Thanks!!
