Re: D80 Camera Discontinued

We use two PTZoptics cameras controlled with a HuddleCam joystick. You do get what you pay for, and our solution is a lot easier to manage then what we had in the past. However we do regional training and more from our location so not just Stake Conference. I would rather have reliable equipment in ...

Re: Networked PTZ Camera with

The delay is what I'm most worried about. We currently use Sony hdr cx220s with a PT mount. Using 4 wired remotes to control PTZ. Sony now has limited support for wired remotes. I'm going to test the new multi term remote to see how far away I can control the zoom, but it will require some cable spl...

Re: conference call service?

i was going to say paying for a month of uberconference is the best. $20 and you get a dedicated toll free number to call in and no codes and less joining and leaving noise.

Re: Captioning in webcast

We do this through the use of our video mixer ATEM TVS, and a free software called JustMacros and a couple custom scripts we have developed with another stake in our region. Our JustMacro scripts have all the Hymns and can also prep the other overlays. I have looked at other solutions but they are m...

Re: Secure Wiki to track stake tech info

It would however be nice to have a central place for this documentation to be uploaded such as tm.lds.org. I think a simple wiki, or forum that allowed attachements within TM, would probably be helpful, and also give access of this information to Global Support incase the new STS did not get a chanc...

Re: Stake wide technology training

In my experience not every stake is exactly the same. Probably the most common component is the sound system. There are some church training videos on crab boxes, but the most effective training so far has been hands on training, with those that would use them. I'm sure you already have seen all the...

Re: Meeting house Video Distribution over HDMI/ Cat6

By the way the church has been working on providing an upgrade to webcast. So far the beta looks promising, and better then Livestream which I have used in the past to get around HD limitations.

Re: Meeting house Video Distribution over HDMI/ Cat6

We similarly use Apple TV's but I'm very interested in your setup with the audio delivery in the other rooms. Also I have noticed some of the Samsung TVs are starting to natively support wireless Android devices, but still not at the level as AirPlay does for apple and windows devices. Also we have ...

Re: Wireless Survey of church building with Netspot

I finished placing a couple more AP's and now the wireless seems to be working much better in the classrooms and I rarely get complaints now (unless charter disconnects the internet, but thats a whole other issue and a little social engineering got it back up within 30 minutes). Very detailed survey...
