Re: Installing Family Search Indexing on Ubuntu 14.04 (64bit)

This did not work for me on Ubuntu 15.04. Are there possibly some dependencies?

FYI, this came out for Android and iOS at RootsTech, and is available.

On a related note, does anyone know if there is a web-based tool on the horizon? I have had recurring problems with the Java app on Linux, and I'd love to just index in the browser.

I am having a similar problem. I did exactly what mariano describes here: The installation shows some warning and the error message saying that it was not able to put an icon into my desktop. At the end of installation I agree to run Indexing. It shows me some (maybe five or six) error windows. I cl...

Change session expiration

The sessions on new.familysearch.org expire far too quickly. I haven't tested it specifically, but I'm guessing that it's ~1 hour. I like keeping nFS on a tab, and I come back to it a few times during the day, for a few minutes. Usually, I'm logged out when I try work on it, and I have to try to fin...

Thanks very much. I will pass on your translations. I think it's so great that there are members of the Church making translations available in their language. I want to be clear that we are still in the very early stages of this project, and while I certainly hope that we are in a position where we...

Hi Maya,

We are working on getting through the approval process for a bunch of items, and I'm hoping that Mormon Messages makes it onto the list as a translation project.

For now, I can pass on a link to your translations. How can I find them?

Mariano,

Could you post a screenshot of the error that you are getting?

Thanks,
Jeremy

3. On this next page, choose to view your profile. http://thumbsnap.com/i/HEwsALXU.png 4. On the profile page, you can add language pairs. http://thumbsnap.com/i/8j2Oivcb.png After that, click the "Home" link, and you should be able to see Italian jobs. Hopefully this helps! Jeremy
