Re: Need help redoing AV closet

I wasn't happy with the SD camera either. My stake will get a new camera in 5 years. Oh well, I may not be in my calling at that time.

Re: Need help redoing AV closet

At my stake center, the entire system was upgraded to HD and so forth. There is no AVDH-1. So I think it would be good for you guys to upgrade it to the latest church standard and this would add a camera to the building.

Re: PTZ camera control using IP

AT my stake center, I use an EVI-D70 camera and I have my computer connect serially to it by the VISCA connection. I use and Ethernet cable to get the signal from the computer to the camera. I do have preset views and it works great. May I point out one item that I feel that should be address here a...

Re: Can't setup 2 receive PC's in 1 building?

If you can get it, make sure that you get https://www.lds.org/help/support/av-distribution-hub?lang=eng this because you can connect the laptop into it and the video and audio will go through out the building, so this would solve your one computer issue that you are describing. I did that in my buil...

Re: Can't setup 2 receive PC's in 1 building?

It is interesting that the buildings don't have a AV system in the building. I thought that was a standard within the buildings. All my buildings and some are over 40 years old have a video distribution and audio distribution throughout the building. So I can listen to what is happening in the chape...

Re: two way stake conference

That seems like a lot of work, because PVC is a video conferencing. You shouldn't have to use wirecasr at all. Have both computer get into PVC and let it handle everything.

Re: Can't access Home and visiting teaching list on my app

I agree with the last post. I have a friend who isn't in a leadership position and he can't see who his home teacher is or who he is assigned to visit. He also doesn't have access to book 2 for his calling in the emergency preparedness area. It would be nice to be able to have them see their current...

Mid-Week Webcast

This past week, my stake conducted a webcast in the middle of the week. I didn't shut down the WI-FI, which I know now that i need to do every time that I do a webcast, that needs to be priority number 1. Since I'm using the Sony EVI-D70 camera, I need to set the broadcast to 4:3 aspect ratio. The i...

Room size

I am the stake technology specialist and my stake president wants to conduct training using PVC. If I remember correctly there is a limited amount of participants per room. I know that only like 8 can be shown on the screen at one time, but I believe that the room can only hold 10 or 20 participants...
