Re: Whitelist

I tend to think that the sites chosen were based on examining the logs and seeing how much bandwidth was being spent on the different sites. It's not a comprehensive list, and we could see some future changes as the members adapt to the new rules. You really mean, as the youth adapt to the new rule...

Re: Need help redoing AV closet

I've recently upgraded our stake center A/V distribution to HD using the following components: All together I put the total between $5k-$6k. That's a pretty good chunk of change. Building wiring: Belden 1694A RG6 Low Loss Serial Digital Coaxial Cable (Yes, I pulled and replaced the existing coax, w...

Such as, a script which allows YouTube an hour before the first session of General Conference, and shuts it off right after. They already do this, but in terms of weeks before and after rather than hours or minutes. Don't forget the church spans many time zones, and in rare cases (such as active mi...

Re: Keys to the Ward Clerk’s office

I guess I'm old school. If someone doesn't want the expense/hassle of printing classroom materials at home, then have them print ONE and take it to the copier on Sunday. Back on topic... There are some at the stake /district level that will need access. The STS, for example, has a duty to ensure the...

Re: Need help redoing AV closet

At my stake center, the entire system was upgraded to HD and so forth. There is no AVDH-1. So I think it would be good for you guys to upgrade it to the latest church standard and this would add a camera to the building. Interesting. We had a new wall-mounted camera put in, but I believe it's the s...

Re: Need help redoing AV closet

Our satellite cabinet was just brought up to the current church standard and it included the ADVH-1 unit and a small LCD TV to replace the little tube one. The VidiU sits on a shelf in the rack and is wired up and ready to go. They also included a box that takes audio and composite video and convert...

Re: Can't setup 2 receive PC's in 1 building?

Last I tried, you can put the same assistant, including yourself, for every broadcast location. I did that one time in setting up a test broadcast where the receiving participants had not been identified. Yes you can, and that's fine for testing, but for a live webcast wouldn't the unnamed assistan...
