Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

I just tested the old version of the app (3.2.14) on an Android 4.1, Android 5, and Android 6 device. As described above, if you're on the main library screen in the old version of the app, pressing back will return to the home screen. This is different from the new version of the app. However, pre...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

Gospel Library 4.0.3 is now available on the Google Play store and will be available on the Amazon Appstore in the next few days. Here are some of the improvements: • Highlight colors are now indicated in the sidebar for user-created notes. Nope, not really. In the scriptures, the little tiny verse...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

I think I understand what you're suggesting now. There are two opposing use cases. What if you follow a link from a manual to 1 Nephi 3:7, then want to go back to the manual? You wouldn't want back to take you to 1 Nephi, then to Book of Mormon. The way it's functioning currently, you can follow a ...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

I would like to see that again. I need to close the app, not just leave it to jump to another app. Generally 'closing' an Android app is over-rated. Most normal (non-game) apps will not use up battery when in the background and will be closed down by Android automatically when it needs memory for o...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

Now let's hope the next one includes a way to exit the app without having to hit the back button through every page you've been to since opening the app. Could you describe what you're seeing, and what you'd expect? I just hit the home button to go to the home screen, or the overview button to swit...

Re: Severe Accessibility (Vision) and other problems with 4.0.0.38

lmcguire, You may want to pick up a Windows 10 device for your gospel studies, at least while the Android guys play catch-up with their old app. On Gospel Library for Windows 10 beta, for example, you're able to select any font installed on your device (our previous version offered a few fonts, wit...

Re: Severe Accessibility (Vision) and other problems with 4.0.0.38

How do you read content in other apps? Most apps don't have any font options. Gospel Library for iOS hasn't ever allowed fonts to be switched (at least, not for several years if it ever did) and readability has never come up as an issue. The previous version of GL allowed you to choose a **sans ser...

Re: An enhancement request

FWIW, using a notebook and journal entries gets you to the same functional end, just not in the same way. Add your journal entries to the notebook, add highlights in other content to the notebook, sort each as needed to sequence your talk. I assume this still works in the new version, but I'm not us...
