Or I guess, the best solution is that no units are on 2.4.3 when 2.8 is the current version.

Technically, that would solve the problem :)

At the moment, the move restriction is the best chance you have of making contact with the prior leader (and/or contacting the future leader of the member). There is a box when sending out the record that says "Contact Prior Leader" that can be checked, but as it has been mentioned, you have to view...

Alan_Brown is right. The out of unit member records are the way to go in this situation.

As far as MLS is concerned, you only have one father - the legal one. 100% correct. Also, about the original problem, the Handbook says that only the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) can request that a record be created. If the single mother is literally the only adopting parent, then she gets to make t...

Good question!

But do we count them in attendance when counting sacrament attendance? I believe the answer would be no, do not count them for sacrament meeting. Reason being: those missionaries are actually counted in whatever ward they are serving in as attendees. So, I would just stick with the other suggestion...

On the household record, have you tried simply removing the wife (and creating a new household), and then moving her back in? It seems to me that by breaking and resetting the link of the records within the household could fix the problem. Just a thought - let me know if that works.

The answer I got from HQ is that MLS 2.6 and higher should be on at least 512MB, if not 1GB. However, RusselHltn is right: there is no special budget or reimbursable account for these costs. The stake/ward would have to make any upgrades from their own budget allocation. The brother I talked to said...

Once again, I think all these questions are answered in the Handbook. One copy needs to be kept externally (locked in the leader's office) and another copy needs to be kept away from the building. Any other copies, as long as they follow confidentiality protocol, are "extra credit." :) Let's make su...

Does the "all Financial Records/Reports" include the printouts from MLS when transactions are made to SLC? Do the reports that you have the option of printing for membership transactions count too? Question 1 - Yes. They can be kept for auditing purposes, to verify that the transmission was success...
