Re: Moving to a new city - ward boundaries?

1) Log on to lds.org (you might have to be a member, but it doesn't look like any particular calling is required.) 1) Under "Tools and Support", open "Meetinghouse Locator" 2) On the bottom right, to the left of the Satellite icon, there is a 3x3 array of dots. When you mouse ov...

Re: Active LDS accounts in Ward

I've wondered about this, as well. It could prove useful for, say, a bishop encouraging youth to do family history work. Back in the old days of LUWS, an administrator could see a list of unit members with LDS Accounts, along with usernames. As jonesrk mentioned, that is no longer possible. I suppos...

Re: Access to welfare

After sustaining a new RS presidency on Sunday, I tried to add names to the "Available Preparers" list. Both names are listed under "Status" as "Pending". The pop-up info window only says that a preparer must have an LDS Account. I know they both do, as LDS Accounts wer...

Live external links in annotations. Links that connect directly from other GL platforms still have to be copied from GLA and pasted into a browser.

Re: External Links Not Working

The thread title use of "external links" had me excited to see if that functionality had been added to GLA 5.1. :(

Re: Funds for coin-op laundry?

Under Handbook 1: 5.2.3: "Provide Commodities before Cash", I think the preference is to provide commodities (perhaps from the Bishop's storehouse) to free up cash for other necessities. You might also check to see if there's another laundromat in the area that uses a card-based system. T...

Re: Clerk and Bishopric member verification step

For the United States: MLS will not allow two bishopric/branch presidency members to authorize a donation - one must be a clerk. If you are still listed in MLS as a counselor in the branch presidency, that is likely the problem. "MLS will not allow ..." Is this a new restriction? I'm cert...

Funds for coin-op laundry?

We are providing financial support for a member who launders clothes at a laundromat. The machines take quarters. What is an appropriate way to provide assistance?

Re: Member records sent using address of chapel building

I'm chuckling as I read this--sorry. Our ward boundary includes the stake center, the rescue mission, the county jail, and the downtown post office. We have, multiple times, received membership records--with no e-mail address or phone number--with each of those addresses. We recently received a reco...
