Re: Splitting a donation

I had a similar issue recently. @eblood66, you're correct, LCR requires the edits within each donation to zero out (like correcting fast offering that was incorrectly put under tithing for an individual slip). I talked to the clerk support line, and received instructions to create a new batch with t...

Re: Two leader approval for fast offering expenses?

Two leaders (Bishop + organization leader) approve all expenses I'm not sure where you got that. I took it from the Help Center: https://www.lds.org/help/support/expenses-and-reimbursements?lang=eng. But you hit at my question--do Fast Offering expenses fall under different guidelines? It also brin...

Two leader approval for fast offering expenses?

I'm trying to balance these requirements in the setting of fast offering expenses: ⋅ Two leaders (Bishop + organization leader) approve all expenses ⋅ Fast offering amounts are confidential (Handbook 1, 5.2.8) ⋅ Bishop "personally approves" all fast offering e...

Clerk and Technology Specialist Callings Organization

Our stake is looking for a new Assistant Stake Clerk - Technology Specialist. However, for a variety of reason, we're considering splitting the Stake Technology Specialist part of it so we don't have to call an assistant stake clerk. We read that "The stake technology specialist is an assistant...

Re: Access Denied to Directory

There is a RS counselor in my ward who noticed this past week that she cannot access the directory or lesson schedules as she previously could. She gets the "Access Denied" error. To my knowledge, there is nothing unusual about her account (out of unit, etc).

Re: Stake conference broadcast contingency

Yeah, without a problem (other than the inferior quality and interlacing issues). I'm pretty sure we run both audio and video through Roxio now (we've done it both ways, I believe). The only A/V sync problems we had were with Meetinghouse Webcast. We're looking at purchasing a stake computer, though...

Re: Stake conference broadcast contingency

We gave up on Meetinghouse Webcast and now use PVC. We only had to use our backup phone system (using http://www.rolls.com/product.php?pid=PI9) when we used Meetinghouse Webcast. Unlike harddrive, we use a laptop with the Roxio USB video capture device, and pull audio from the library's A/V cabinet....

Alternatives to Brightcove Flash Player on computer

I've become frustrated with the Brightcove media player and its overhead on my computer. Previously, I max out my CPU on my Macbook using it, and if I switch over to an iOS/HTML5 link, I have minimal CPU usage. I remember being able to disable Flash or change browser user agent and have the default ...

Can this made available to an anonymous user? I only see it when I log in, but I like to do a quick of the site without needing to log in.

My stake presidency was very supportive of purchasing a laptop. They didn't mention anything about a laptop, and it was bought with stake administrative funds. It's worked out very well for us.

As with many things, I think the stake president holds the key here (literally).
