Re: Interesting power issue with new audio/video system

At first glance, that seems like a good idea. Most of the time, any video is either going to originate from the chapel, or the chapel will be part of it. Either way, the chapel sound system will be on. However, that would be an issue for viewing BYU football. (I'm not sure if it's still broadcast on...

Re: Patriarchal Blessing

You can request your Patriarchal Blessing at https://pb.lds.org/pbrequest/

If your Membership Record Number (MRN) isn't on your account, you may need to work with your ward clerk to get that fixed.

Re: Calendar - events not visible

On the calendar on lds.org, on the left, click on "Choose Calendars". Make sure you've selected all the calendars you want to see. Failing that, activate the building/location calendar. Your event will show up there. From there, you should be able to pull it up and see what calendar it's r...

Re: Expiring Password

See page 24 of this NIST publication 800-63B . I think you meant page 14 using the pages numbers, which is the 24th page as a PDF viewer would count them. Yes, page 24 of the PDF. But from some PMs, I've learned that "shared passwords" have indeed been a problem in some units. So, NIST no...

Re: Expiring Password

While the article has valid points, we discovered several interesting things as we started enabling this. There are a few benefits to forcing password changes on a semi-regular basis in our environment. It would be interesting to find out. A few ideas come to mind: Some units have accounts "by...

Re: Expiring Password

I'm of the growing opinion that forcing frequent password changes may actually be detrimental to security. Here's one of many such articles supporting this. See page 24 of this NIST publication 800-63B . This hasn't made it's way into the government - yet. I think it's because of the additional pas...

I'd suggest the Open Houses and Dedications page.

Re: Electronic reimbursements

I also can’t view that letter in the communications library! (It shows a Page Not Found error). I can't see it either. We've been on the beta. I guess that letter is only showing up for those units where the new version has been recently enabled. I can't see that letter if I follow the link, nor ca...

Re: Calendar 3.0 released

yes in my iPad I see under the "Choose Calendar" the 3 buildings in my stake. Ok, then someone has created a stake calendar with those names. Those are not the real building calendars and cannot be relied upon. This has been a common enough problem that it's been addressed in the Calendar...
