Re: Putting an event on a different ward's calendar

Restrictions have their own set of problems. If you schedule restrictions for the whole year for the cub scouts, there's nothing to prevent the YM of from the same ward from scheduling a basketball game for that same time block. An event is the only way to make sure that the building/room is blocked...

You'll probably have to contact church support. That usually happens when changing computers, or doing something to the MLS software.

Re: Meetinghouse Internet Problems

One of the Meraki that hadn't been affected on Wednesday went into "Warning" status and all the APs lost connection to the server. I power cycled the firewall and the status went green and all the APs checked in. Now, it appears that all the 1041 APs in my stake are connected. I think this...

Re: Setting up static IPs

When I checked on the stake computer on Sunday, I saw 24 hours. Which raises an interesting question - I wonder if the 991 IP addresses in the "User" pool is going to be enough for the 5 wards that meet at our stake center? It would be interesting to see the user stats. I would start look...

Re: Meetinghouse Internet Problems

I was successful in getting the two firewalls that were off-line in my stake working again. The first one was pretty smooth. The second one took some effort. I notice that the firewall doesn't seem to have a reaction for quite some time after the paperclip operation. I also saw it go white, and then...

Re: Setting up static IPs

The problem I ran into is that it appears to take time for the new assignment in TM to make it's way to the firewall. The delay is due to the current IP address lease still being active. When that decays to zero, the new IP assignment will take affect. I'm talking about a delay from TM config to th...

True, that should work for a router/modem combo. Our fiber-portal (modem, if you will) doesn't have a built-in router.

Yes, if I can, I avoid router/modem combos. Just something else to complicate the system.

Re: Quarterly Report: record all primary-aged children attended or just the ones on the roll?

If the new LCR-printed rolls are like the old ones printed from MLS, the instructions are printed there. I remember that being a "Trivial Pursuit for clerks" discussion. <grin>

Re: Setting up static IPs

When you go to make the assignment, you pick from a drop down list. So, I think you're stuck with assignments in the static "pool". One thing that I'm sure is going to throw people off - when that screen comes up, it's set for the "User" network. You can only pick form 192.168.s....
