Re: Sale of stake purchased technology

I just thought of a classic example: Mission cars.

Re: Sale of stake purchased technology

I am not a lawyer, but I'd think there's a distinction between selling something you used and no longer have need for, and retailing (selling something bought for the purpose of re-selling). The section on fund raising has examples of the latter. Now, what you can do to make sure you're in the clear...

Re: Meridian Temple Dedication

This is the first event that I will be in charge of broadcasting. If I understand correctly, the broadcast and cultural celebration will be coming over the church satellite system correct? Usually, they have experienced crews doing the broadcasting. I assume you'll be in charge of the receiving. ;)...

Re: No Mission Car Charged?

Just a follow up....some Senior Missionary assignments come with a car at no charge to the Missionary. Some cars in the mission are available for use by the Senior Missionaries and they are charged for them, either by deduction from their missionary account or paid locally to the appropriate office...

If the child has been legally adopted, then they should be added to the adoptive parent's records.

Re: Letters in Membership Number

It's just part of the system. There is no significance or meaning to it. The last digit is what's called a "check digit". It exists to make sure the other digits have been entered correctly. That way, the system will likely spot a mis-entered number and not pull up someone else's record. I...

Re: Sale of stake purchased technology

This may be more of a finance issue. As long as the stake paid for the equipment, personally, I don't see a problem with them selling it and recouping any remaining value. I'm not sure what the concern about being an "agent for the church" is. In this case, it would seem to me that you're ...

Re: Help with changing a birthday

When is his birthday (in relation to his ordination date)? Handbook 2 indicates that they must be at least 18. By my math, if he hasn't had his birthday this year (for example, he was born in September), then he's only 17 and too young to be an Elder. Worse, this makes his ordination to Elder invali...

Re: temple workers

Based on prior posts, I believe the stake president can look it up in twp.ldschurch.org, but as a clerk, you may not have access.

Re: Download All Individual Conference Talks

sbradshaw wrote:"Talks and Music" is on LDS.org, not in the Gospel Library app. Gospel Library doesn't have the music from the most recent General Conference as separate recordings – only the talks and the full sessions.

Perhaps on the LDS Media Library app?
