Re: Conference problems on Roku and lds.org?

For the Saturday morning session, we tried the Mormon Channel on our Roku. It would drop the connection, connect us to the wrong video feed, and essentially flat out fail to work. I vaguely recall having similar problems for past conferences. We used BYUtv instead and it worked just great, though we...

Re: USB Flash setup for Come Follow Me videos on Roku Player

If you're referring to the USB Video Manager code you can find that at https://github.com/cglancy/USBMediaManager . If you're referring to code to generate the XML library files that the USB Video Manager uses you can find code that I use at https://github.com/paulwhiting/GospelLibraryVideos . Rknel...

Re: Videos in Foreign Languages

In general, you can choose what language lds.org uses by clicking the world/language button in the top right corner of the page and then choosing your desired language. I believe the LDS homepage for Samoan is https://www.lds.org/?lang=smo. As for Man's Search for Happiness in Samoan I can only find...

Re: USB Flash setup for Come Follow Me videos on Roku Player

For those interested, the newer version of the USB video manager can be downloaded from http://www.glancyfamily.net/USBVideoManager-20170305.zip. Note that this is the zipped version and not the windows MSI installer version, so you'll have to manually update your start menu shortcut, or perhaps eve...

Re: USB Flash setup for Come Follow Me videos on Roku Player

I love the USB Video Manager but it no longer exports for me. I am using Windows 10 and when I try to do an export I always get an error that it is unable to copy a *.jpg file. The file it has a problem with is always different. After I get the error the export stops. It seems to setup the folder s...

Re: USB Flash setup for Come Follow Me videos on Roku Player

We just need an easy automated way for the files to be downloaded and updated in a timely way and as well as well organized. Am I right that this method does duplicate the needed disk space? Is there a way to avoid doubling the disk space? It would be nice if it had the option to export as softlink...

Re: Downloading Mormon Messages in a bundle

If you search these forums you'll find discussions on mass downloading content for the come follow me curriculum. Charles Glancy (cglancy) created a mass download utility for it, and I extended it for the entire media library and 7 or so supported languages. You can find my write-up at https://githu...

Re: lds.org local directory will not print

Surely there is a bug in the church's software. Here's what I'd suggest. Try printing the PDF with the bare minimum, with no check boxes checked. It should give you a PDF with only members' names. If that doesn't work then you've definitely got a problem. Try adding in one checkbox at a time. Is the...

Re: Photos on LDs.ORG, But not on LDS TOOLS

I've recently had troubles with photos as well. Yesterday I updated the pictures for my family and I'm baffled at the results. I uploaded my household photo and photo of my daughter via lds.org. I uploaded individual photos for my wife and I via the Android 3.1.0-BETA app. lds.org "My Household...

Re: General Conference Video not playing

At the bottom of each web page there should be a feedback link. That has worked for me every time I have questions or problems with content. If you leave contact info they'll get back to you.
