Re: PSA - apparently all units should have ComTek receivers

If the existing Comtek continues to function, but more receivers are needed, new comtek, or listen receivers can be added, as they are [generally] compatible. You must be referring to the ListenRF72 line. That threw me for a bit. I am, the systems we use in meetinghouses both operate in the 72 MHz ...

Re: PSA - apparently all units should have ComTek receivers

ListenTech is currently offering a Wifi system which allows the hearing impaired to use their smart phone and bluetooth capable hearing aids to listen in the chapel. This eliminates the ComTec device and disposable batteries and gives better hearing quality for each individual because their hearing...

Re: Show me your A/V rack setup

Our stake center has very old equipment and the A/V rack in the library looks like things have been bolted on using various converters and adapters. Is there any process to modernize a stake center's a/v setup? Especially curious as we are just starting to do stake conference broadcasts to our othe...

Re: Audio Splitter for podium

Including AV needs is good, I'd love to see the note mentioned above sent along as well. One issue with only sending this to the stake president is the 'lost in translation' information. I think a separate note to the stake clerk and STS and really help is know that resources are available from FM ...

Re: Show me your A/V rack setup

I remember wanting instructions with a Brand New Meetinghouse built 6 years ago. That is a lengthy approval process. I was fine being 1) curious, 2) a person who doesn't wait for the decade long process for church instructions, and 3) being an audiophile/IT engineer - I made it through, but I was t...

Re: Show me your A/V rack setup

Ours is seven feet tall, and includes all video, audio, local program distribution, and white noise for the meetinghouse. It has outputs for webcasting and inputs for various types of audiovisual media finery, a video switcher, and a camera controller. It also has power supplies and amplifiers for ...

Re: Video from multi-stake conference

We had a multi stake conference September 11 2016 with elder Ballard , I understand that these meetings are not recorded for latter use by the members. This is unfortunate for those of us who have difficulty hearing especially with electronic broadcast, for my self I'm lucky to understand 30% of wh...

Re: Why no hymn lyrics on screen this general conference?

Fun Conference Fact: We are no longer broadcasting the lyrics to the Congregational Hymn. Why, you ask? All the world receives the same video feed. We then add over 90 live languages to that video. In a global church, it no longer makes sense to have everyone view the English lyrics on their screen...

Re: Voice to text translation for the deaf

I am amazed at the accuracy with which Google Voice turns my voice into text in emails, notes, and other documents. It is not perfect, and the original voice needs to be clear and accurate. Perhaps someone can figure out how to wire a hearing impaired receiver to Google Voice - that way the sound i...

the Meeting House Tech Policy (https://www.lds.org/help/support/meetinghouse-policy?lang=eng) says the following: "Physical modifications to a meetinghouse, including the mounting of televisions, cameras, digital projectors, and projector screens, may only be done in compliance with MFD standa...
