Processing Donations into Budget

It was my understanding that checks received that need to be put into the Budget categories should be put into Budget Allocations and not into other standard or sub-categories. What are the implications of coding the check into a budget sub-category?

In addition, another member has a Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund account. They tell me they tried to have the Fidelity CGF donate to the ward mission fund, but they would not do it. So, they decided to send a donation to the Church, in SLC, for $600, one years worth, with a note that it should go to...

The only way a stake can get an allocation from one ward to another is to keep it at the stake and then write a check to the other unit. So if a stake wants all of the Young Single Adult allotment to go to one ward, it will have to zero out the other wards and write a check for that amount to the w...

I checked with one of our units using MLS 3.2.4 and they ran a YTD Summary and a Official Tax Statement (US), both show that the Temple Construction donations are listed as a charitable donation for donations made before and after the CUBS conversion. On the question of temple specific donations. Th...

My recommendation to families/individuals is to put the contributions towards a future serving missionary in a savings account.... There are also Charitable Gift accounts. These types of accounts allow you to make non-revokable charitable donations and claim the tax benefits in the year that the de...

This is by design. It is meant to be a low key part of the release. It is being done because of some data privacy issues. It is understood that this may cause some 3rd party applications some problems, but the MRN needed to be taken out. Is there a way to request that this be reconsidered? I know t...

The only issue we ran into when changing branches is when the night depository box required a key. One of our units wanted to use a different branch, the old BofA branch didn't require a key but the new one did. If the new branch requires a key, call number for MLS support and ask to speak to the Bo...

I received our Oct. 2010 SFS from the stake president yesterday. I would assume that he received it in his mail box on Fri. or Sat.

Stake clerks don't have access either. I did notice that the distribution only includes 4 copies for Book 1. The Stake President and councilors. The 4th copy is the 'file copy', and although says clerk, I would assume that it is a shared copy between the clerk and executive secretary (at least our e...

Compressing Outlook Express Files

Does anyone know anything about a message that pops up while booting up that says that Outlook Express can compress files? I have a couple of units in our stake that started receiving this message. Is Outlook express even installed on LU machines?
