I found your site very useful, as although there is "some" handover training, when people are called. It is more a case of trial by error, that one learns on MLS.

Today I was reminded, that I hadn´t "activated" or registered our Temple Recommend Book, and My Bishop said, that he had checked MLS, and not found a way to do it. When I came home, I was prompted by The Spirit, to GOOGLE "How to acctivate Temple Recommends on MLS", and LO and BEHOLD, Google responded with a link to your site, which is a God Send for us Ward Clerks.

I have an concept, and wondered if the LDSTech would consider exploring it to fruition? It combines the use of technology and membership rosters in the various auxiliary meetings that happen on Sunday, or at any of the other Ward/Stake sponsored functions. The Classic site had a "New and Information" option for the Ward web administer to notify Ward members of upcoming events. Will such feature be included on the new lds.org?

The new calendar allows you to send broadcast emails to subscribers. As far as a News and Information component, there is a site being developed called Stake and Ward News. It will replace the previous news function that was available with stake and ward websites.

Really? I have searched the website to send a STAKE BROADCAST EMAIL to stake members as the Stake Website Administrator - I still don't see how this is done, don't see it listed here how to do that.

Though the new website allows for emailing to members to ward level members only. As far as I have ever been able to determine (as Stake Website Administrator) it can only be done to each ward individually and not to all stake members at once. My Stake Presidency asks me to send out emails. I was told Stake Clerks were the ones given rights to do this but our Stake Clerk has never been able to find out how to do this. I have requested help with this numerous times with no response.

Deborah - I couldn't find email broadcast in the new system, so I wrote a replacement tool. It lets you import email ad[censored] from the directory and send broadcast emails. It does not allow you to catagorize emails like the old system (YW, Relief Society, Adults, etc), but it works well for our needs.

Steven - bishopric counselors are not excluded from using PVC. Although we don't automatically grant PVC accounts to that position, we encourage bishops to use the guest invite function to allow their counselors and possibly auxiliary leaders. The bishop's PVC meeting room could be used, or the executive secretary could arrange the meeting and use his PVC meeting room (which is the reason we authorized the executive secretary position). I'm am having a problem with logging into my LDS Account when I first get on LDS.org. I have verified my username and password and they are correct. I can log-in to New Family Search with my username and password. This is making it so that I can't sync my Gospel Library on my Android device and I can't sync my ward directory. Do you know what I can do to resolve this? I've submitted a request to lds.org's helpdesk and haven't received a response.

An additional item is that when I do try to log in from the LDS.org site it tells me that the username and password are incorrect. But as I said before I am able to log into New Family Search just fine.

I'm very excited for the evolution of technology,I'm an IT and i still improve my studies in telecommunicati ons.What can we do to follow directly the general conference in the center of africa?Is there a project on it?if yes i would like to be a volunteer member and work together with my brothers.
Secondly, in order to encrease the findability of church information is it possible for african stakes to have their own website so that they can share onformations with the world?
