Wow, that's good Zac. It was a long journey for me to find Truth , and our brothers and sisters from the lost tribes. The early project where with ideas from already existing games, though i didn't had a spirit to finish. It was before finding Latter Day Saints.
( Ideas from the past, not finished) I thought of 2D - space strategy ... or 2D - tanks base defence... the question is how to add spirit there ... some ideas of trivia parts i have, for sacred scrolls , history truths... this can be integrated in the game. Do you have mail to contact ? )

Zach, I have an idea not for a game but for an app to share the Book of Mormon and I am looking for someone. Would you be interested?

Ray, a project to move MLS functionality to the Web is already underway and has been for the past few years. You can learn more here: https://www.lds.org/callings/melchizedek-priesthood/records-and-technology-support/about-clerk-resources?lang=eng. Thanks! -Justin

Another way for people to create games without programming experience is to use game salad. It is a pretty neat tool that has a lot of capabilities. I've seen these type of games:

Endless runner
Run/jump (like Mario)
Jetpack
Angry birds
Canon game
Asteroid

Interesting .)) Reminds me of GameMaker and Game Editor .) Thanks for sharing.)
Although i prefer plain C programming using assembler when needed, because learning new environment and all it's features takes time.
