Beta testing for Directory 2013 has been delayed. Thank you for your interest in assisting with this project. More information on directory updates and testing will be available at a future date.

Trying to access with Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II using Google Chrome browser. I can sign into the test Site but I cannot 'X' out of the little popup intro Window.

I have just had the same problem on my laptop. After making my browser go full screen, I noticed there is an accept button that you have to click to close the pop up. Sadly the pop up can't be dragged :(

I have not tested. But I have always wanted to communicate the need to have the Stake/Bishops office phone numbers listed in the directory.

Never use a land line in my office. Had FM remove it. Cell phone number should be listed. Bishop Cluff

And if the power goes out, the towers go out, and how will you contact anyone? Land lines will still work when cell phones won't.

I haven't tested yet, but I had an inactive coworker ask for help setting up LDS Tools on their mobile device. She made a really good suggestion for the directory. How about adding the meeting house to the top of the directory along with meeting times and schedules. She says it's embarrassing to ask things like that when talking to active members.

I also believe this is a great idea, as a member of the stake leadership, it would be nice to be able to look up meeting times on the top of each ward's mobile directory.

I am a Ward Missionary. The new maps are a good start, with pushpins for households. It would be nice if the pushpins were numbered, or otherwise identified, and a list of the households seen on the map was displayed to the left of the map, next to the identifier of each pushpin.

It would be great if there were a RS filter to show where the sisters lived in the balloon mode. Also single and special needs families so we could check on them first in emergency situations.

I'm not sure single, special needs families or RS sisters want to be identified on a map. That could pose a safety/privacy issue. Just my two ¢ents.

Such a map definitely shouldn't be available to all members, but it would make sense for those with need-to-know to be able to see it on a map. Perhaps bishopric, Elders Quroum/Relief Society President, High Priest Group Leader, etc. They already know who these families/sisters are, so this would just be putting that information into a more readily accessible format.
Ward clerks, bishops and some other callings already have extra access on lds.org, so I don't imagine it would be too difficult to implement.

I agree with the privacy statement...but RS filter would be nice for those with permissions. The clerks have access to rolls, but the RS presidency doesn't. Would also like to view/enter visiting teaching from LDS Tools.

It would be nice to have mailing address show up. Our ward is remote and many get mail from post office...post office doesn't deliver to box if the street address is used. Its confusing, even in MLS.

I'm a website administator for our ward. I added a picture. When I went to crop it, it wouldn't let me crop it to a 2 x 2, which most of our ward uploaded picture where. Will the cropping tool stay the same?

Could we also add the Missionaries phone and address that are assigned to our ward. Our missionaries moved and it took a while for the ward members to find them. Thanks for all you do!

Good idea. Where/ who enters this info. Our Mission office says they do not.

Wired glitch. Under "Assigned Missionaries" in my Ward Directory it only displays the 3 Sisters assigned. When I first went in it also had the 2 Elders. Now only the Sisters which is what happens in the current version.

Cropping seems to set slightly to the right. If I center my face in the center of the crop, the result has my face slightly left of center (the crop is about 20% to the right of where I placed it).

This was done in Windows 7 using Google Chrome browser version 22.0.1229.94 (portable).

My biggest problem is that very few people in our stake even know about the directory - let alone use it. Is there anything that can be done to encourage the Stake leadership to use it and encourage others to do so as well?

Maybe this is not the right forum, but one of the most annoying things I see is the lack of a single-sign on function. Why do we have to sign in every time we use another part of the scroll-list?

Tested the photo upload.
It assumes all photos are landscape oriented so if you upload a portrait the photo is distorted.
ALSO it REALLY needs a converter built in so if the photo size is too large it converts it. People will get discouraged and not upload rather than go through the process of re-sizing. It would be nice if the crop feature allowed one to zoom in more on each face in the family photo. Love the new improvements!

It would be nice to upload the photos in a group and then drag them to the correct name. Upload is slow and one at a time. It is getting there, soooo much better!!!

Using Windows 7 Professional SP1 and Chrome 25.0.1364.97. I can't add a picture either to my self or to my family. I have tried dragging and selecting one. Either way I get no errors but the image never uploads. There is a progress bar and a cancel link.

have tested. love this. i do wish you could add the birthdays of our ward members like in the printouts from the clerks office. that is the only thing missing. i love the way the info prints out in the pdf. very readable and very researchable.

Birthdates are confidential information and should only be released to those whose calllings need that information. If your ward is posting this information in public, they should review the privay policy.

Functionality works well on the Kindle Fire device. Pictures and text load well and are clear.

Even though the Beta is delayed, I hope you will still see this suggestion.

Leaders need to be able to see what privacy settings members have chosen.

We have a lot of "old-school" people in our ward, so our RS has always printed a directory. If a leader prints the directory, it will include everything she gets to see even if the member has asked that only the top leaders should see it.

I think that is a very big problem for members that really don't want their information given to the whole ward.

Similarly, if a member has asked that their contact information be removed or restricted, of if someone has no email address, there is no way to flag that status so people don't re-enter the information later, or keep trying to get an email for someone who doesn't have one.
One suggestion is to all the field to accept a text string such as "none" or "removed by request" (impossible for a phone or email at this point).

Is there a way to print a photo directory? As I try to look at the photo directory for our ward I only see about 5 families. But if I go through each household in the household directory I see that there are many more families with photos uploaded. Is this a glitch? I've tried playing with privacy settings with a few other members and doesn't seem to affect this issue.

An address and telephone for each building in the stake might be nice! With my calling I have to visit each ward and it is a pain to have to go to LDS.org to look up each ward when I have access to my tablet with LDS tools.
