LDS Tools for IOS Temporarily Unavailable from App Store Print E-mail

Oct 20, 2012 Update: LDS Tools is now back in the app store. Version 2.1.1 has been released. See this post for more details about the latest release.

LDS Tools

LDS Tools 2.1 for iOS was released to the app store late last week, and shortly after releasing it, a major performance issue was identified which required us to remove LDS Tools from the app store. We have resolved the issue and LDS Tools 2.1.1 should be available in the app within the next 5 to 7 days.

Hopefully the new fix will correct the problems Executive Secretaries have in using this. No report views, download updates always crash at the end.

Oh good I was worried. I deleted it Sunday to reload it hoping to fix the data update problem, and when I went to re download it wasn't there. But good to know it'll be back.

I doubt they are killing you. You know there are other ways to access that information if you really need it. have you gone onto your browser to lds.org you will most likely have the same information that LDS Tools has. and yes it works on any browser even on my old IPhone 3gs. So no they are not killing you, get over yourself

If you can connect to the Internet, then going to LDS.org is a good option. If not being able to connect to the Internet, then having LDS Tools is handy. I miss having it :-( and hope to use it again soon.

As Stake President, I could not search for members at the stake level. I need to go to the ward level to search, so I don't know which ward a member is in, I's have to search each one until I found them. Looking forward to the fixes in 2.1.1.

My iPhone 5 updated from 2.1 to 2.1.1 with no issues. Work well.

I would recommend that you delete the app, and then reinstall.

It's totally NOT working for me on any of my devices: iPad, iphone4s, NOR on my regular desktop computer. I just get a 'down for maintenance' notice on all of them. Sigh. So it isn't a particular Sevice issue, I think it's an app issue all together.

The app stopped displaying all data except stake/ward calendar today. Reinstalled, resynced, rebooted...to no avail. Happened in iPhone 4S and the new iPad. Still ongoing issue.

Cannot get the data to download and get an error message at the end of the download attempt that an error has occurred and to please try again later. This happened on 10/21/2012 after it is supposedly fixed.

I do not show callings for my ward when I select my ward on the IPad. The callings are there on my phone but not on the iPad app.

I'll add to the chorus -- cannot load any of my ward or stake data at all, the "sync" appears to go through its steps but then I get an error message saying "some of the items could not be downloaded." In truth none of the items could be downloaded as my db is completely empty. Happens on both my iPad as well as iPhone. Hoping for a fix soon!

Also, I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling fresh, did not make any difference.

iphone 3GS running ios6, lds tools stopped working with vers 2.1.0, and upating to 2.1.1 made little difference. It will still not get past the startup logo.

UPDATE: After uninstalling 2.1.1 & data, then re-installing 2.1.1, then all was back up and working.

I will second or third the comments that have been made above, after updating to 2.1.1 I find the same error message, that some information (really all info) could not be downloaded, now I am left with an app that doesn't work. Please update soon!!

No data is syncing. Not on my old phone or even on a fresh install on a family member new phone. Fix is not actually a fix. More like a Broke.

Deleted and reinstalled LDS App and no data is synching. Able to access data via website but site was down for maintainence for about 30 minutes. Retried to synch LDS Tools and same error. Now I have no data on app.

My wife and I are having the same issue on iphone and ipad. Deleted app, reinstalled, some data will sync some will not. Currently I have partial directory and no calendar. Ipad has no directory. Anything we can do to help test a fix?

Similar to above comments. All directory data has disappeared on my ipad. I have attempted to Sync numerous times over the last few days. It tries for a while then it simply exits the app. Only data present is the calendar.

Love the app, but for some reason, the search feature does not work. As soon as I type in the first letter of the name of the person I'm looking for, I get a "No Results" message on the screen.
