New video tutorials are available for the calendar. These video tutorials provide three-to-five minute movies showing various tasks and concepts with the calendar. The video tutorials cover the following topics:

  • Setting Up the Calendar
  • Understanding Calendar Views
  • Subscribed Calendars and Locations
  • Syncing the Calendar
  • Creating Calendars
  • Scheduling Events
  • Sending E-mail Reminders
  • Editing Repeating Events
  • Dealing with Event Conflicts
  • Reservations Versus Events
  • Creating Reservations Calendar Video Tutorials

To view the videos, first go to the calendar by going to Click Sign In/Tools and then select Calendar. In the calendar, click the gear icon (Settings) and then click Help. In the Help, click the Videos tab.

Thanks for the note. Sorry about that. It had a problem with mixing http and https in the embed code. I fixed it now. Can you try accessing the videos again?

I am wondering why my event background color seems to random. Some events that I enter have the background color of our branch, other events appear without any background and the text is weak or washed out. How can I fix this?

Do you know how to change the color of a calendar? Just click the arrow next to the calendar and choose a new color. If that's not the issue, maybe your monitor has display issues, or perhaps you're using a non-standard browser. If you want to send me a screenshot, I can give you better troubleshooting advice. johnsonth@ldsch

How does one get this calendar to interface with one's I-Phone or other cloud based calendar... to avoid "calendar hopping"!?

I can't find the article again, but I read a few days ago the come the beginning of 2013 there will be a synchronized interface but until I find that source, consider it rumor.
