Clerk Resources has been updated with many new features, enhancements, fixes, and other improvements. Some of the updates include the following:

  • Local unit organizations have been modified or expanded to align with the Church Handbook of Instructions and priesthood council direction.
  • Boundary and Leadership Change Request forms in PDF format can now be downloaded by stake and district leaders.
  • Data privacy statements (which some countries require be posted in meetinghouses) are now available in Clerk Resources in addition to the Official Communications Library.
  • For units in the United States and Canada, a new “Order Office Supplies” link will be available on the Clerk Resources homepage.
  • Clerk Resources now supports the new LDS.org header menu structure released by LDS.org in late July 2012.
  • The “Members Moved In” report groups households together that moved in on the same date.

For more details about the release, see the Leader and Clerk Release Notes.

Are there plans to add Melchizedek Priesthood Leaders to those who can use the Leader & Clerk functions via LDS.org for things like running reports, printing attendance rolls, editing Home Teaching assignments, etc?

Darin,

Plans are under way to provide quorum and auxiliary leaders access to similar LDS.org Leader and Clerk Resources functionality. Based on funding and priesthood council direction, something should be available next year.

Home and Visiting Teaching via LDS.org is also under discussion within priesthood councils, but final direction has not been received.

One of the few things I still use the classic site for is to get ad[censored] for the meetinghouse and for other buildings within the stake. It was quicker than going through Meetinghouse locator. Is this addressed with these changes? Thank you.

Richard, maps replaces the meetinghouse locator function. If you go to LDS.org and select Resources > Locations and Schedules, it basically takes you to maps.

I love the new functions. Do you have plans to add "members moved" reports and the ability to transfer records out of the ward?

Will there in future be the ability for the clerks to be able to log in to change membership records/move in/move out, etc. from a computer other than in the clerks' office? Having remote access would be productive.

Sorry if this isn't the right forum...but it would be nice to be able to have better access to the member birthday lists. Maybe an export from LDS.org, or a calendar sync from somewhere in LDS.org. Many leaders like having quick access to their birthday lists...but the current process of export to an electronic calendar is quite cumbersome.

This is a great idea I also receive request for members birthdays. What i would very much like to see along with the downloadable data files would be a fiel with the date they were transfered to our ward. This could be valuable information when going to the less or nonactive knowing that they have been with us for 2 years or 25 years. Thank You

My highest priority request would be to enable inputting home/visiting teaching online - as opposed to having to input it on the ward PC. That's our biggest bottleneck and also the one thing that is most time-sensitive every month.

Our FM group sent us a letter showing that computers should be replaced no less often than every five years (church policy).

It would be great, if MP, RS and other auxiliary leaders could at least access names and contact information of those, whithin their organization. Am I not allowed to see, whom I am responsible for?

Printed lists are nice, but sometimes it would be great, if I could access this info on my Android phone.

Oliver,

If your MP, RS & other leaders have an LDS Account, then they can access their ward information (after they login) from "Tools -> Directory", then select "Ward Organizations", then the respective organization desired. (Of course, I believe this would all be in German for your members).

It would be nice for the Sunday School Presidency to also have access so we could print rolls and modify classes. I agree with the above comment about finding time to get onto the ward computer because it is always in use.
