Personal Progress Site Now Allows Leaders to Update Progress for Young Women Print E-mail

The Young Women Personal Progress site now allows the appropriate leaders, such as Young Women presidents and bishops, to update value experiences for young women through the Leader Summary section of the site. If young women have opted to use the site, leaders can mark updates for value experiences to better track and view progress of all young women in their ward or stake.

Viewing the Leader Summary

To view the Personal Progress site, from LDS.org, go to Menu > Youth. On the Youth site menu, click Personal Progress. (Or go directly here.) Once on the Personal Progress site, sign in with your LDS Account. Then click Leader Summary in the lower-right column.

 Young Women Personal Progress

When you view the Leader Summary, you see a grid showing the progress the young women in your ward have made on their value experiences. The names of all young women using the system (which you have responsibility for) appear as hyperlinks. If a young woman has not started using the system, her name does not appear as a hyperlink.

Click a young woman's name to update her progress on her value experiences. You can then select the check boxes for each value experience the young woman has completed.

This capability allows leaders to better track the progress of young women in their ward using a single, centralized system.

It would be awesome if ward clerks could be added to the leadership that can access the reports. Perhaps not for updating progress but to print the progress charts.

Creating a tracking system for Duty to God would be a wonderful project. Please pass along your feedback to your Stake President.

Is that the right line to send this type of feedback through? I'd love to talk to the SP about it but don't want to bother him if that's not where it's supposed to go.

That's not a bad idea. We'll take it to the Young Women Presidency and see if they are ok with it.

Can you put this document in a PDF format so that we can share it with our local leaders?

I would be helpful if the Ward YW Personal Progress leader could access this resource as well.

I agree! Not every ward has a PP adviser but for those of us who do, it would be MOST helpful if we had access to the girls' progress online.

As the YW President, I think it would be wonderful if we could print a "Personal Progress Record Sheet" .pdf populated specific to each young woman. Currently each individual is only able to print one for themselves.

Another great feature would be a place to check off which young women have received their Personal Progress Bookmark and ribbons in conjunction with completing the personal progress values. Our ward actively participates in this, and I'm constantly trying to keep my notes updated on who has received one and who hasn't. It would be so much easier if it was all tracked online with Personal Progress.

A Personal Progress app would also be a significant benefit to the young women as well.

Ending on a positive note, I have to say that I love the most recent updates made to Personal Progress, which include the functionality for the Young Women leaders, has greatly improved.

Is it possible for YW Personal Progress Specialists to view as a leader, I noticed there was no mention of them.

I am a pp leader... I would LOVE to have access to approve my girls online... I have approval to do so in the book, plus it would save the other ladies time since it is my calling to serve our Yw in their pp and such :) thank you!!!

Every parent and leader of Young Women should be able to log into the Leader Summary or Parent Summary reports within the Personal Progress website and approve projects, values and track the progress. Log into the Personal Progress site and look for the Parent Summary link in the bottom right corner of the navigation.

We don't get a "Parent Summary". Our daughter's account has been set up for a couple of months, but today was the first time that she complete requirement through the site. Does one site have to update the other or is it generally instantaneous? We are in an undisclosed location (but use a VPN when we login). Is this only for US based units or should we be able to access the tools?

Thanks

I completely agree. This would be a wonderful tool/system that should be implemented. The next version of the Gospel library should have it available.
