How do I modify accessible Web sites in the meetinghouse?

Stake presidents can choose between the following three filtering options:

  • LDS Restricted Access – Allows access only to Church-sponsored Web sites (for example,, and Web-mail sites.
  • LDS Extended Access – Blocks known inappropriate material (for example, pornography, weapons information, hate sites, and other known offensive content).
  • General Access – Allows access to the widest variety of sites, but still blocks inappropriate sites. It is the same filtering level used in Family History Centers.
When the stake president decides which level of access should be allowed, the Global Service Center will set it. The number for the Global Service Center is 1-866-678-2763. If you are outside the United States and Canada, contact your area office.

You cannot modify which Web sites are accessible in meetinghouses under these filtering options. A third party (Websense) controls the categorization of Web sites. To request that an uncategorized site be categorized or to request a change in category, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
