Question

Why is the ward mission leader listed as an "Other Calling" in MLS, when the ward mission leader meets as a member of the PEC (Priesthood Executive Committee)?

Answer

The grouping of organizations in MLS is not based on who attends PEC. Generally, callings in MLS are grouped by organizations that have a presidency or by groups that have a significant number of members, such as Young Single Adults.

Callings that are not part of a presidency (such as ward mission leader, choir director, magazine representative, organist, and so on) are listed in "Other Callings."
